Imec presents AI tool
At Super Computing 2025, the company presented the imec.kelis tool, which is intended to improve the design and optimization processes of AI data centers

The analytical power modeling tool addresses the challenges of system architects faced with increasing workloads and power requirements. Traditional simulation methods are often inadequate, while imec.kelis provides a fast, transparent and validated framework that enables informed decisions from the chip to the data center.
Designed specifically for large-scale language models (LLM), imec.kelis provides an end-to-end framework for performance evaluation of compute, communication and storage subsystems. It has been validated on platforms such as Nvidia A100 and H100 and enables accurate predictions. Key features include an LLM task graph analyzer, a Roofline model and an interactive dashboard. Imec.kelis will be available for licensing from the first quarter of 2026 and has already attracted significant market interest.
