Network driverless transport vehicles

They communicate in the WLAN of factory buildings within the customer's IT infrastructure. The vehicles are coordinated by a central, cross-manufacturer control system. It also includes order distribution, route navigation (selection of routes, behavior at intersections) and energy consumption - i. H. responsibility for all intralogistic processes within the factory. This minimizes disruptions, reduces maintenance costs and eliminates process gaps. As a result, costs are reduced and energy efficiency is significantly increased.

The Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association of the VDMA worked together with the Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to develop the definition of the VDA 5050 communication interface. With the Maxolution brand, SEW-Eurodrive is one of the first market participants to offer this interface ready for series production and suitable for industrial production. The current vehicle fleet is equipped with the interoperable communication interface VDA 5050. It is suitable for intralogistic processes in the convertible smart factory.
