Depth camera with new housing design

The camera measures distances of up to 20 m; it works most precisely in the range from 0.4 m to 6 m. The measurement error at a distance of 4 meters is less than 2%. The D455e is especially suitable for robotics and industrial automation, for driverless machines in agriculture and construction as well as for digital, interactive signage. It also offers options for multi-camera setups for monitoring large areas or different scenarios.

The camera evaluates the depth data of the stereo setup (1280 x 720 pixels, max. 90 fps) with the image data of a global shutter RGB sensor (1280 x 800 pixels, max. 30 fps). Since the field of view of the depth sensors is the same as that of the RGB sensor, there is an optimal interplay of depth information and color images. The detection of very fast objects is possible without distortion thanks to the global shutter sensors used.
