Previous systems always required extensive training with many image examples in order to reliably recognize a specific object. Denk Match AI completely dispenses with this training process and instead relies on a novel combination of object reference databases and visual-geometric matching algorithms.

Explained using the example of “traffic signs”: The AI does not require a trained model, but instead compares each recognized object with the reference data in the traffic sign database while driving on the road. If the shape, proportions, and visual characteristics match, the object is clearly identified and marked as a “match.” By dispensing with training data, most of the effort previously required for customer-specific recognition tasks is eliminated. At the same time, the matching process significantly improves the generalizability of the AI.

Denk Match AI is not a further development of an existing module, but an independent, completely new technology that is not based on previous training logic. Like all our developments, it is developed entirely in-house – from mathematical modeling and algorithms to software architecture. Example photo: Recognition of tree trunks even after relocation, material changes (weather influences), or altered lighting conditions.
