CIPA certified: Hexapods Test Image Stabilization
Obtaining razor-sharp images without using a tripod and at the same time, compensate for natural and artificial motion is currently one of the decisive factors for both cameras and smartphones. Die CIPA (Camera and Imaging Product Association), ein The Camera and Imaging Product Association, or CIPA, is an international association of camera manufacturers which establishes technical standards in the field of image generation.
The miniature and high-dynamics H-811 Hexapod is the first six-axis positioning system that meets the CIPA standard for simulating camera shaking when taking photographs. PI developed the H-811.S11 for use as a vibration device in image stabilization test equipment. It produces vibrations such as tilting motions, for example, with a dynamic of 20 Hz over 0.1° displacement. In the process, the Hexapod system carries out a defined and repeatable test trajectory. The H-811.S11 provides travel ranges of up to 34 mm in the XY plane and up to 13 mm in Z direction. The tilt angles are 20° around the X and Y axis and up to 42° around the Z axis. The Hexapod is driven by a motion controller that is additionally equipped with a wave generator for sine oscillations. Furthermore, predefined motion profiles can be saved. Digital I/O interfaces also enable external triggering and synchronous data recording.
