Basler Adds New Features to the scout and pilot Camera Families

Basler Vision Technologies is adding new features to all scout and pilot area scan cameras produced from September 2009 on. The more than 50 different scout models and ten different pilot models will be fully equipped with the new firmware during production. The additional features include: very short exposure times, a trigger delay feature, a combined auto-gain and exposure feature, and a mirroring function at full grabbing speed. Multicast support that makes camera image data available on more than one PC will also be added via the free pylon driver package. Thanks to Basler's compliance with the GenICam standard, existing customers can make use of the new features without making changes to their software. Naturally, the new features will be included on every new camera at no additional cost and will be fully compatible with cameras that have recent firmware revisions.
