Autofocus Linescan Camera System

Vitronic is presently rolling out its 1000th VicamSsi autofocus linescan camera system. The system identifies fully automatic addresses, barcodes and specific customer 2-D codes on packages. Data acquired by the system helps to assure quality and both automates and improves logistical processes. Integration of the VicamSsi is very easy. This unique identification system combines camera and LEDillumination into one sensor unit. Even large amounts of data can be handled in a minimal amount of time. VicamSsi can find both printed and handwritten address information. Additionally, the system searches barcodes, 2-D codes and specific customer codes located on the parcel, evaluating them regardless of their position and even on wavy surfaces or behind plastic foils. The system guarantiees high reliability and is free from wear and tear. Additionally, VicamSsi can identify address information on sorters at speeds of up to 3 m/s.
