360°-View Camera Modules

Sony Europe’s ISS (Image Sensing Solutions) division has announced the next generation models in its range of 360° panoramic cameras. The latest 2M-pixel versions, the RPU-C2512 desktop mount model and the RPUC3522 ceiling mount version, offer significant improvements over their predecessors in overall image quality, not just in sheer resolution. The real 360° view delivered by the company’s RPU models takes camera technology to a whole new level with all-round imaging that users can view in real time. The auto white balance (AWB) has been improved, there is a better electrical shutter speed control, and additional control functions for hue, saturation and brightness have been added. Provision for Visca command protocol control has been added via an optional RS-232 communication board, the RPU-A001, this allows for the RPU camera modules to be easily controlled by software.
