3 Megapixel CameraLink Camera

The camera as a core component of industrial image processing designates, with their range of abilities the success of implementation. Today image processing solutions are established in many aspects of the optimization of manufacturing processes. Therefore they have to provide a greater flexibility. A camera with 3 megapixels resolution is able to detect both small and large objects in the production line with high precision. This opens up a high flexibility in the design of control processes.
Similarly many other factors such as high frame rate, light sensitivity, high-performance interface etc. could have positive effects to the application and finally also to a faster payback.

With the new compact 3 megapixel CMOS high-speed camera EoSens 3CL of Mikrotron demanding precision tasks of image processing could be opened up. The new Full Camera Link camera with dimensions of only 63 x 63 x 54 mm provides features for highest image quality. At maximum resolution of 1,696 x 1,710 pixels, the camera delivers a frame rate of 285 fps (frame per second). The integrated ROI (Region of Interest) function enables a variable configuration of the image field in position, resolution and speed. Thereby recording frequencies up to 150,000 frames per second can be achieved. The Full Camera Link interface ensures a high data rate with outstanding real-time capability. With a pixel size of 8 x 8 μm and the high fill factor a light sensitivity of 1,200 ASA monochrome and 1,000 ASA RGB is achieved. Due to the switchable non-linear Dynamic Range Adjustment, the camera reaches outstanding internal dynamics up to 90 dB. Even in case of extreme dark-light contrasts it provides very precise image details. With the "Freeze Frame" full frame shutter (1 µs to 1 s) dynamic distortion-free recording of very fast processes is achieved in the synchronous free-running or asynchronous triggered mode. Lenses with C-Mount or F-Mount adapter can be connected.
