1 µs exposure time with Baumer CMOS cameras

With exposure times from 1 µs, Baumer CX cameras, featuring second generation Sony Pregius sensors up to 12 megapixels, offer not only the highest operating temperature range up to 65 °C in their class, but now also the shortest exposure times. This extends the range of their possible uses in applications for example with high light intensity, as in laser welding or with high speeds, as in circuit board assembly to reduce motion blur.

The outstanding features of the 29 x 29 mm CX cameras, such as high resolution and speed combined with low dark noise and a dynamic range of 71 dB as well as the latest Sony CMOS sensors and exposure times from 1 µs, open up further application areas that were previously reserved for CCD sensors. Sample cameras are now available. Serial production will start in Q3/2017.
