Wilfried Schmitz hands over management to Jens Mirau
CTX founder becomes consulting partner
Wilfried Schmitz has handed over the management of CTX Thermal Solutions to Jens Mirau and will continue to support the company as an advisory partner. Schmitz founded CTX in 1997 and developed it into a leading provider of cooling solutions in Europe. Under his leadership, CTX most recently focused on internationalization and strategic investments, such as PADA Engineering. Succession was arranged early on, with Schmitz bringing Jens Mirau into the management team in 2021.
Mirau, who has experience at JUKI and EWAB Engineering, was responsible for operational issues and promoted expansion into areas such as e-mobility and Industry 4.0. He plans to further expand CTX's market position, with supply chain management playing a central role. Mirau emphasizes the importance of a stable supply chain outside of China to provide customers with continuous delivery and quality. Schmitz will remain active as a consultant to further CTX's expansion.
