Wika expands production capacities in Brazil
The company has opened a new plant in Boituva in the Brazilian state of São Paulo

Modern production and logistics facilities have been built on a total area of around 12,500 square meters, including around 8,000 square meters of production space, replacing the previous site in neighbouring Iperó. The background to this is the increasing demand for measurement solutions in Brazil and neighboring markets as well as new impetus from the Mercosur trade agreement between the EU and several Latin American countries.
The plant is intended to increase regional production and logistics performance and improve networking between the Latin American locations. Wika has been active in Brazil since 1981 and today has its own branches in Argentina, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, among others. According to CEO Alexander Wiegand, the new location offers additional capacity and scope for development in the region.
