Wenglor takes over TPL Vision

The company is integrated into the corporate structure as a division

21.09.2021 - At the end of August 2021, the Wenglor Group took over the Scottish-French company TPL Vision. The specialist, founded in 2005, will be integrated into the Wenglor Group as a division, but will continue to exist as an independent business unit.

"We are very pleased to be able to strengthen the product portfolio in the machine vision area through the acquisition of TPL Vision," says Wenglor Managing Director Rafael Baur. "The additional know-how and almost 16 years of experience of TPL in the field of industrial lighting technologies are a real gain." The two central locations of TPL Vision in Perth, Scotland and La Chevrolière, France, where the company will only have a new production facility this year related stay in operation. All employees remain part of the independent Wenglor business unit.

TPL Vision offers an extensive range of different lighting technologies. Thanks to the bright light-emitting diodes, so-called power LEDs, objects and surfaces can be perfectly illuminated in every situation and complex tasks can be ideally solved using vision systems, smart cameras or vision sensors. In addition to surface lights, spot, ring, bar or dome lights are part of the range of several thousand products. Special lighting systems for the food industry or UV light are also part of the expertise of the new wenglor business unit.
