VDMA Machine Vision: New Chairman of the Board and change of members
Daniel Seiler, CEO at AT, takes over the position from Dr. Olaf Munkelt, co-founder of MVTec Software

Daniel Seiler, CEO of AT - Automation Technology, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the VDMA Machine Vision Division. He takes over the position from Dr. Olaf Munkelt, co-founder of MVTec, who remains on the board.
Seiler emphasizes the need for close cooperation in order to meet the challenges posed by geopolitics, international competition and economic change. He sees machine vision as a key to global robotics and automation projects by combining traditional mechanical engineering knowledge with AI and digitalization. The VDMA offers the ideal platform for this.
New to the board are Dr. Kai Schröder, CTO of Basler AG, and Marco Reiter-Wassmann, General Manager of Isra Vision GmbH. Schröder succeeds Hardy Mehl, who was elected to the board of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association. Reiter-Wassmann replaces Holger Wirth, who is leaving Isra Vision.
The board of the VDMA Machine Vision Division is thus composed as follows:
Dr. Horst Heinol-Heikkinen
Founder and Managing Director, Asentics GmbH & Co KG, Siegen
Markus Maurer
Head of Business Unit Automation, VITRONIC Machine Vision GmbH, Wiesbaden
Dr. Olaf Munkelt
Co-founder and Managing Director, MVTec Software GmbH, Munich
Marco Reiter-Wassmann
