Sieb & Meyer Opens New Production Facility for Frequency Converters
In Lüneburg, the SD2M and SD4M series will be fully assembled and tested in the future. The final inspection includes, among other things, a two-hour functional test in a thermal chamber.

Sieb & Meyer has opened an additional production facility at the Port of Lüneburg. Effective immediately, the company will handle the assembly and final testing of its SD2M and SD4M series multi-level drive controllers at this location. According to the manufacturer, this expansion is a response to rising demand for frequency converters for high-speed applications.
At the new facility, the devices are manufactured from the pre-assembly of individual components through to final testing. After assembly, the frequency converters undergo high-voltage and insulation tests. This is followed by a two-hour functional test in a thermal chamber before the final inspection takes place. The SD2M and SD4M series are designed for installation in control cabinets and are intended for high-speed applications. These include turbochargers, turbo compressors, ORC systems, and flywheel energy storage systems.
