Schulz-Electronic with new investor and managing director
The previous managing director and shareholder Hubert Maier hands over the management to Stefan Dehn.
Haspa Beteiligungsgesellschaft für den Mittelstand (Haspa BGM), together with long-time sales manager Stefan Dehn, is taking a majority stake in the Baden-Baden-based distributor of professional power supplies as part of a succession plan which was founded in 1975. Schulz-Electronic GmbH supplies, among other things, laser diode drivers and capacitor chargers for photonics.

Haspa BGM is a subsidiary of Hamburger Sparkasse. It focuses on equity investments in the form of silent and open participations in medium-sized companies in Germany with sales of ten million euros or more. The declared common goal of the new shareholders is to continue the successful development of recent years and to exploit the market potential, particularly in the application areas of electromobility, renewable energies and laser technology.
Hubert Maier, the previous managing partner, has been with the company since 1998. He took over responsibility as part of a management buyout, too. Since then, Schulz-Electronic has developed into a market-leading, manufacturer-independent supplier of professional power supplies for industrial customers in the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region. Maier: “I am very pleased to have once again found a solution with this succession arrangement, which at the same time ensures continuity and successful further development of the company.”
Stefan Dehn, who from now on will lead the company as managing partner: “With Haspa BGM, we were able to win a long-term oriented investor for our company, who understands our market and ensures the stability of the location with us. The cooperation enables us to make optimal use of the dynamic market environment and to continue the current successful development together.”
“We are very pleased to be able to accompany a succession solution in this attractive market environment. Schulz-Electronic is a company that has grown continuously since its foundation more than 45 years ago, with long-standing supplier and customer relationships and strong technological expertise. We are convinced of Schulz-Electronic’s positioning in the market and are looking forward to working together with Mr Dehn,” says Stephan Hannebauer, investment director of Haspa BGM.
