Purdue University, Rittal and Eplan work together
As part of the partnership, Purdue will open two exclusive labs

Purdue University has partnered with Rittal and Eplan to focus on smart manufacturing, engineering and education. This five-year collaboration, which was officially sealed at the Rockwell Automation Fair in Chicago, aims to prepare Purdue Polytechnic Institute students for the next generation of industrial transformation. As part of this partnership, Purdue will open two exclusive labs: the "Eplan Engineering Lab" and the "Rittal Automation Systems Lab". These facilities will provide hands-on experience in data-driven processes and automation technologies.
The partnership includes scholarships, internships and research initiatives and could be extended to the Purdue Polytechnic High School network. Eplan is providing numerous software licenses, while Rittal and Eplan are making further investments. Dr. Daniel Castro, Dean of Purdue Polytechnic, emphasizes the importance of integrating Rittal and Eplan solutions into the curriculum to best prepare students for technology-driven industries.
For Rittal and Eplan, the partnership is an investment in the future of U.S. industrial education, giving them access to a skilled workforce. Sebastian Seitz, CEO of Eplan, praises Purdue as an ideal partner and sees the cooperation as an opportunity to bring innovative concepts to the US economy. The partnership offers students valuable insights into advanced technologies and promotes the next wave of industrial innovation.
