Polytec introduces new CEO
The company has appointed Dr. Alexander Huber as Chief Executive Officer with effect from April 2026

Together with Commercial Director Alfred Link, he forms the new dual leadership of the company, which specializes in optical measurement technology. Huber succeeds Dr. Dietmar Gnaß, who has retired.
Huber has more than 25 years of experience in technology-driven markets. Most recently, he was CEO and Managing Director of Itk Engineering, where he was responsible for the strategic direction. Prior to that, he held management positions in the Industrial Solutions and Healthcare sectors.
From 2001 to 2015, Huber held various management positions at Polytec. His return combines detailed knowledge of the company with external, international management experience.
Polytec develops optical measurement systems for industry and research. Against the backdrop of increasing demands for precision, digitalization and efficiency, Huber will drive the strategic development and international growth of the company.
