Polytec announces the passing of its co-founder, Liselotte Lossau, who died at the age of 93. Together with her husband, she founded Polytec GmbH in 1967, laying the foundation for today’s internationally active Polytec Group. With her business acumen and organizational skills, she was responsible for finance, marketing, human resources, and customs for many years, and later for IT as well, while also overseeing construction projects and the modernization of the company’s organizational structure.
Liselotte Lossau shaped Polytec both entrepreneurially and culturally. Her respectful treatment of employees and her genuine interest in people contributed to the company’s identity. Even after her departure, she remained connected to the company as a shareholder. In addition to her work at Polytec, she was involved in hospice care in the Karlsruhe region for many years and was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon in 2020. Polytec emphasizes that her legacy and values will continue to shape the company.
