Phytec Becomes a TI Premium Partner and Expands Its SOM Portfolio
Phytec and Texas Instruments are expanding their long-standing partnership. New embedded modules and Premium Partner status are expected to accelerate development efforts
Phytec and Texas Instruments (TI) have further strengthened their partnership, which has been in place for more than 30 years. As part of its newly established partner program, TI has designated the Mainz-based embedded specialist as a Premium Partner. This highest partner tier is designed to facilitate access to new components, technical resources, and engineering support, thereby accelerating development projects.
As part of the expanded collaboration, Phytec also introduced new SOMs based on TI’s Sitara AM62P processor. The phyCORE-AM62P expands the core product line of pluggable modules and offers high adaptability for customer-specific developments. With the phyFLEX-AM62P, the company is expanding its line of interchangeable solder modules, which are designed for long-term scalability and future-proof designs.
According to both companies, customers benefit primarily from shorter development times and faster time-to-market for new products. In addition, Phytec offers a wide range of software and support services, including regular BSP updates as well as upstream support for Linux and Ubuntu.
Looking ahead, Phytec remains committed to close alignment with the TI processor roadmap. In addition to processors, the collaboration also encompasses other components such as microcontrollers, power management ICs, Ethernet PHYs, and analog circuits. The goal is to provide industrial developers with scalable embedded platforms that enable them to bring new products to market faster and more efficiently.
