Phoenix Contact establishes Chief Sales Officer in the Group Management Board
Stephan Volgmann will take over this role on the Group Management Board from May 15, 2026
Phoenix Contact is expanding its management team to include the position of Chief Sales Officer (CSO) in order to align the global sales organization more closely with customers and markets. As of May 15, 2026, Stephan Volgmann will take over this function in the Group Management Board. Volgmann has been in charge of the company's German sales company since July 2020 and has many years of experience in industrial B2B sales.
The new role is intended to centrally manage the global sales structure and align it more closely with the company's strategic objectives. In particular, the CSO will coordinate the market presence, bundle regional requirements and strengthen cooperation between sales, operations and digital business models.
The Phoenix Contact management team thus consists of Chief Executive Officer Dirk Görlitzer, Chief Operating Officers Torsten Janwlecke and Ulrich Leidecker, Chief Digital Officer Frank Possel-Dölken, Chief Financial Officer Axel Wachholz and the new Chief Sales Officer Stephan Volgmann.
