Instrument Systems has been accredited for tests in the field of lighting technology to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025 since 2009 and is now offering accredited testing of radiant flux and luminous flux with the “Goniospectroradiometry of optical radiation sources” procedure. This procedure has enabled the development of UVC-LED reference sources with traceable reference values of maximum precision for radiant flux and irradiance. These reference sources are used for monitoring and calibrating UV measuring equipment, e.g. the ISP-PTFE series.

The global consulting, market research and analysis firm continuously identifies and evaluates companies and growth opportunities in various industries, technologies and regions of the world.

“After more than three years of hype, excitement, and unfulfilled promises, miniLED backlights are finally ready for prime time,” asserts Taha Ayari, technology and cost analyst at System Plus Consulting part of Yole Développement (Yole). And he explains: “MiniLED monitors, and laptops have been available since late 2020. Most leading TV brands are adopting miniLED backlights in their 2021 flagship models. The highly anticipated miniLED Apple iPad Pro was officially announced in April 2021.”

A beam of light can only be seen when it hits matter particles and is scattered or reflected by them. In a vacuum, however, it is invisible. Physicists at the University of Bonn have now developed a method that allows laser beams to be visualized even under these conditions. The method makes it easier to perform the ultra-precise laser alignment required to manipulate individual atoms.

After the fair had to be cancelled last year due to Corona, the optics, photonics, electronics and mechanics trade fair "W3+ Fair Rheintal" will open its doors again on September 22, 2021. Some exhibitors already revealed in advance what they would like to show in Dornbirn. In total, more than 100 companies are taking part as exhibitors, speakers and trade fair partners.
