Octave bundles industrial software
Octave, Hexagon's planned software spin-off, enters the market with a new brand identity
The Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence Division, Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial and the Bricsys, ETQ and Projectmates units will be merged under the name Octave. The aim is to integrate data and processes across the entire lifecycle of assets - from planning and construction to operation and the protection of critical infrastructure.
The portfolio addresses four areas: Design (3D modelling, simulation, geodata), Build (integrated workflows for engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning), Operate (unification of operational, maintenance and quality data for real-time and predictive analytics) and Protect (solutions for public safety, physical security and industrial cybersecurity).
Domain-specific AI approaches and a consolidated data platform form the technical basis. The spin-off of Octave is subject to regulatory and corporate approvals.
