New Managing Director of the VDI Materials Engineering Society introduced

Schröder has been working in the VDI Group since 2012 and has led the VDI conference "PIAE - Plastics in Automotive Engineering", among other things. He has been working at VDI e.V. since July 2024 and was initially responsible for the Plastics Technology division within VDI-GME. With extensive experience in networking science, industry and politics, Schröder focuses on plastics technology, materials development and vehicle technology.

He plans to further expand the VDI-GME as a central platform for dialog on current and future challenges in materials technology. Schröder thanks his predecessor Dr. Hans-Jürgen Schäfer for his formative and further developing work in the VDI-GME.
