Mitutoyo and Kitov sign cooperation agreement
Mitutoyo Corporation and Kitov Systems have signed a partnership agreement to integrate Kitov's automated planning and intelligent visual inspection technology into Mitutoyo's metrology solutions. As part of the deal, Mitutoyo will acquire shares in Kitov.
As part of the agreement, Mitutoyo will invest in Kitov and become a shareholder. The agreement also creates the framework for the joint development of new solutions combining Mitutoyo's measurement technologies and Kitov's planning and inspection technologies. Kitov is a developer and provider of automated, intelligent visual inspection software solutions headquartered in Petah Tikva, Israel.
Kitov's proprietary AI, robotics and computer vision technologies enable a complete semantic understanding of the part or product being inspected, including its 3D structure and components. The result is automated, highly reliable and cost-effective visual inspection and measurement solutions that significantly improve quality control and reduce manufacturing costs.
Fully automated measurement solutions are the goal
