MIT REAP delegation visits IDS

A delegation from the MIT Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program (REAP) visited Heilbronn, including IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH. Organized by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation and the Campus Founders, the visit offered insights into the technological development of IDS. Jan Hartmann and Sigrid Rögner from IDS presented the machine vision specialist's journey and its role in the regional innovation network. The delegation experienced the development of the cameras, electromagnetic compatibility tests and the use of AI-supported technologies in machine vision.
The visit underlines IDS' position as an important technology partner in Heilbronn's AI ecosystem. Heilbronn is establishing itself as an international hotspot for future technologies, with companies, cities and start-ups driving innovation. The MIT REAP supports regions in building innovation ecosystems, with Heilbronn-Franken being part of the current cohort addressing challenges such as digital transformation and skills shortages.
