Machine learning in image acquisition and embedded vision
The 93rd Heidelberg Machine Vision Forum is dedicated to the topic of "Learning to Sense" and highlights two key developments in machine vision

On the one hand, it will discuss how machine learning methods influence not only image processing, but also image acquisition - from lighting and optical components to the selection and design of image sensors. Specialist presentations will show what contributions AI methods can make in these areas today and in the near future.
The forum will also address the trend towards intelligent cameras, in which new hardware architectures and optimized algorithms are increasingly being used to perform parts of machine learning directly in the device. The focus is on tried-and-tested solutions for industrial applications. An accompanying exhibition during the breaks will provide additional information and opportunities for exchange. The next forum is planned for November 3, 2026 on the topic of "Quality assurance with image processing".
