Logimat Celebrates 25 Years in Stuttgart: From an Industry Gathering to an International Intralogistics Trade Show
In 2003, Logimat kicked off with 160 exhibitors and 3,700 visitors. By 2026, the number had grown to 1,671 exhibitors and 69,856 trade visitors, who filled all ten exhibition halls.

Logimat will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Stuttgart in 2027. Since its first event in 2003, the trade show has evolved from a regional industry gathering into an international platform for intralogistics and process management. The anniversary edition will begin on March 16, 2027.
The figures illustrate just how much the trade show has grown: At its premiere at Stuttgart’s Killesberg, 160 exhibitors presented their products to 3,700 visitors. By 2005, the numbers had already risen to 289 exhibitors and 7,230 trade visitors, and by 2007, there were 463 companies and 11,000 visitors.
The move to the new exhibition grounds at the airport in 2008 marked the beginning of another phase of growth. At that time, Logimat occupied three halls with 571 exhibitors and more than 15,000 visitors. Since 2019, the event has utilized all ten exhibition halls. According to the organizer, 1,671 exhibitors and 69,856 trade visitors attended in 2026. Thirty-seven percent of the exhibitors came from abroad, with a total of 46 countries represented.
The themes of the trade show also reflect the technological transformation of intralogistics. As early as the 2000s, driverless transport systems, pick-by-voice, RFID, and web-based software were on the agenda. Later, shuttle systems, e-commerce, Industry 4.0, and green logistics took center stage. Today, autonomous mobile robots, sensor technology, artificial intelligence, cloud software, and resilient supply chains define the offerings.
In this way, the evolution of Logimat also documents the transformation of intralogistics: from individual automation solutions to increasingly networked, data-driven, and autonomous material flow systems.
