ifm Strengthens Its Environmental Management with EMAS Validation and ISO 14001 Certifications
The ifm Group has once again had its environmental management system in Germany certified according to EMAS and ISO 14001
EMAS builds upon ISO 14001 and supplements it with additional transparency and reporting requirements. As part of the revalidation process, ifm published an updated environmental statement that documents the company’s environmental performance and goals in detail.
At the same time, the Romanian production sites ifm efector s.r.l. and ifm prover s.r.l. in Sibiu were certified to ISO 14001. The ifm prover s.r.l. production facility, which opened in 2023, also received the DGNB Gold Certificate from the German Sustainable Building Council as a “sustainable production facility.”
Independent auditors assessed environmental standards, processes, and structures at several locations. The integrated environmental and risk management, the use of digital tools for process control, and the organizational quality of the production and building structures were highlighted positively. The continuous improvement process and the integration of environmental and sustainability issues into day-to-day operations were confirmed as key strengths of the system....
