IDS expects 15 percent growth

Positive financial year: New hardware platform and focus on usability result in high order intake

Despite the tense procurement situation, the image processing company IDS expects a positive sales development and growth of 15 percent for the 2023 financial year. One reason for this is a good order situation, which results from the advancing wave of automation. In addition, IDS assumes that supply chain bottlenecks will improve. On the product side, the positive development is based on the one hand on the 3D segment, which continues to grow strongly. Accordingly, the portfolio will be expanded in the current year to include a new, cost-optimized series for large-volume applications. On the other hand, last year's launch of the uEye cameras with the newly developed USB3 technology platform has more than proven itself in the 2D segment. The camera manufacturer is thus more supplier-independent than many of its competitors and is therefore better able to cushion component bottlenecks.

Other models with this hardware technology will follow in the coming months. In addition, there is growing demand for new cameras with high data rates and faster and larger sensors, as well as price-optimized models with reliable basic functions. To meet the increasing demand, IDS developed the uEye Warp 10, which enables extremely fast clock rates and ensures particularly high quality requirements. In addition, the entry-level area in the range is supplemented by new product variants, which further expands their possible uses in customer applications.

Completely climate compensated

In view of the current geopolitical and climatic conditions, IDS is also increasingly committed to the topic of sustainability. As a pioneer among the completely climate-compensated companies in the industry, further long-term measures are firmly anchored in the company goals to steadily reduce CO2 emissions at the Obersulm site. The compensation of the first climate-neutral camera family, uEye CP, was only recently updated.
