Hexagon Metrology GmbH Austria opens Precision Center in Vienna

From today our Austrian customers have live access to the Hexagon Metrology product world. On 28 and 29 January 2010, the new Precision Center was officially opened by Per Holmberg, President of Hexagon Metrology Europe, and Holger Fritze, General Manager of Hexagon Metrology Germany and Austria. It is attached to Hexagon Metrology's existing GmbH in Wiener Neudorf, south of Vienna.

"With the new Precision Center in Wiener Neudorf, we are extending our presence in Austria and continuing our strategy of making ourselves quickly and easily reachable by our customers all around the world. We now have 59 Precision Centers in 25 countries," says Per Holmberg. In addition to being a demonstration and training centre, the Wiener Neudorf facility provides an operating base for Hexagon Metrology service and sales staff.

Over 80 guests from a range of different industries helped to make the event a success. Raising keen interest at the opening in particular was the new multisensor series being introduced by Hexagon Metrology from January 2010. The new product line opens the way for Hexagon Metrology customers to select from a broad portfolio of systems that combine tactile and optical measurement technologies. Other products at the new Precision Center include stationary coordinate measuring machines under the DEA and Leitz brands, ROMER measuring arms and the Leica Absolute Tracker. The first dates for product demonstrations were agreed during the two opening days.

Dates for servicing measuring equipment can be booked with the Hexagon Metrology team over the new Hotline for Austria Tel. +43(0)2236 860 070 60. The technical service department has been an integral part of the GmbH in Wiener Neudorf since 01 January 2010.
