Axel Barnekow Widmark assumed the position of CEO
He succeeds Carl Modigh, who, after 25 years in management positions, will continue to act in an advisory capacity as a member of the Advisory Board. Mattias Klockars took over as Vice President Research & Development in March and has been responsible for the innovation and technology agenda since then.
Barnekow Widmark has international experience in industry, energy and consulting. His career has included positions at NKT, where he was Executive Vice President Service & Installation, McKinsey and various management positions at ABB in the fields of robotics, automation and energy infrastructure. Klockars was previously Director of Strategic Research at Alleima and held various R&D leadership roles at Sandvik. His focus is on translating market requirements and new technologies into marketable solutions. With the new set-up, Habia aims to strengthen innovation, global competitiveness and technological development.
