Google's Shauna McIntyre named CEO of Sense Photonics

Sense Photonics, which specializes in 3D object detection and lidar scanners, has appointed Shauna McIntyre as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). McIntyre has worked in the automotive industry for 25 years and most recently led Google's automotive services program and Google Maps' automotive programs. Previously, she was chief of staff for Google's consumer electronics division. In addition, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Lithia Motors since April 2019.

McIntyre, who brings experience in managing complex engineering projects and commercializing global product lines, will now further develop Sense Photonics' solid-state Flash-LiDAR architecture and establish it in the industry. The focus is the automotive industry.

The co-founder of Sense Photonics, Scott Burroughs, an expert in the design and manufacture of semiconductor laser components who has served as CEO since the company's founding in 2016, will now assume the role of President and Chief Innovation Officer.
