Extended cooperation between IDS and Prophesee
The aim is to develop neuromorphic industrial cameras
IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH and Prophesee SA have announced an extended cooperation to develop the next generation of industrial cameras integrating Prophesee's event-based Metavision technology. A letter of intent was signed at the Embedded World conference to jointly develop new machine vision systems. The partnership combines Prophesee's expertise in event-based technology with IDS' strengths in camera integration and manufacturing.
This collaboration builds on the success of the IDS uEye EVS cameras and aims to combine traditional imaging with event-based sensor technology. This opens up new possibilities in machine vision, such as high-speed motion analysis. IDS supplies the hardware, while Prophesee provides sensors and software. A more intensive commercial collaboration is planned to develop complementary solutions for customers.
