EPIC hires photonics technologies program managers

Drs Nikitski and Picot-Clémente join European Photonics Industry Consortium

02.02.2022 - To address the needs of its members, EPIC strengthens its team by recruiting Dr Ivan Nikitski and Dr Jérémy Picot-Clémente to support the technical needs of the growing membership as well as the EU-funded initiatives.

The European Photonics Industry Consortium has become the world-largest photonics industry association, with more than 750 members within the last few years. Ivan and Jérémy started in January 2022 as new photonics technologies program managers.

Ivan has an MSc in physics and a PhD in photonics. He has a strong technical profile built by his experience in both academia and industry of new materials, optoelectronics, and semiconducting.

Jérémy has an MSc in physics, a PhD in optics, and also an MBA. During his PhD, Jeremy developed deep knowledge in nonlinear optics, free-space optics, optical experiments, optical fibers fabrication and characterization, spectroscopy analysis and experiments, and presented his findings in international conferences. To supplement this technical knowledge, the MBA brought him insights into management, economy, marketing, and strategy, crucial tools to understand the expectations and issues of the industrial world.

He will provide the Technology Report for PhotonicsViews issue 2/2022 (April / May) addressing technology and landscape for augmented and virtual reality systems AR/VR.
