Dr. Marc Wawerla takes over the management of Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions

Dr. Marc Wawerla has taken over the management of Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions (IQS) and was appointed CEO of Carl Zeiss Industrielle Messtechnik GmbH. He takes over this task from Dr. Jochen Peter, who continues to be responsible for the Industrial Quality & Research division on the Zeiss board.

Dr. Marc Wawerla has been working for the Zeiss Group since 2010. In 2012 he took over the management of Zeiss Vision Care in India; 2014 responsibility for the Vision Technology Solutions division. In 2015 he became Chief Operating Officer and therefore responsible for the global production network of Zeiss Vision Care. Since 2018 he has been driving the digitization of the Consumer Markets division as Digital Transformation Officer (DTO) and is responsible for the development area of Zeiss Vision Care as Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Marc Wawerla studied mechanical engineering at KIT in Karlsruhe and did his doctorate in engineering at the Institute for Production Technology (wbk).
