CSA Group builds new European headquarters in Bavaria
CSA Group, a provider of testing, inspection and certification services, is expanding its presence in the EMEA region with a new European headquarters in Germany. The planned complex of around 12,500 square meters in Plattling (Bavaria) will house an administration building and two testing and inspection buildings.

The official opening of the new CSA European headquarters is scheduled for fall 2021. It is planned to start testing and certification in the fourth quarter of 2021. At the opening, around 180 employees - mainly engineers and technicians - will be working at the site. A further 70 jobs are to be created in the coming years.
The company chose Plattling for its qualities as a research and technology location with numerous educational institutions, a dynamic start-up scene and good transport links. The town of 13,000 inhabitants is located around 130 km from Munich and just under 60 km from Passau.
CSA Group intends to apply for accreditations and recognitions, including recognition as an EU Notified Body, IECEx and IECEE CB Scheme recognition, and recognition as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL), and aims to act as a one-stop service point.
