Cooperation for high-speed drive solutions
Sieb & Meyer enters into a strategic partnership with SKF Magnetic Mechatronics in France.
The aim is to develop drive solutions with magnetic bearing high-speed motors. These systems are used in compressors, turbo blowers, and HVAC technology. SKF will manufacture the frequency converters under license at its international production facilities, while Sieb & Meyer will be responsible for the layout, design, and control technology.
The cooperation is based on Sieb & Meyer's SD2M/SD4M series multi-level converters. The partnership enables SKF to offer optimized complete packages consisting of electric motors and precisely matched frequency converters. Machine builders and system integrators benefit from these plug-and-play solutions through less interface coordination, greater technical clarity, and optimal interaction between components.
