Baumer strengthens GenICam commitment with new chairmanship
Marcel Naggatz is elected Deputy Chairman for 2 years

EMVA's GenICam standard working group has elected its chair for the next two years. At the International Vision Standards Meeting in Haikou, China, in fall 2025, Michael Schmidt from Basler was confirmed as Chairman. Christoph Zierl from MVTec remains Vice Chair, supported by James Falconer from Pleora Technologies and Marcel Naggatz from Baumer Optronic.
With the election of Marcel Naggatz, Baumer strengthens its role in the GenICam ecosystem and demonstrates its many years of experience as a manufacturer of industrial cameras. Baumer's involvement in the GenICam working group and EMVA emphasizes its commitment to open standards and the development of future-proof machine vision technologies. The new leadership ensures continuity and a smooth transition for future changes.
