Basler and Drag & Bot start joint integration project

24.10.2019 -

In a joint project by Basler with Drag & Bot, Basler's 2D cameras were integrated into the graphical robot programming software drag & bot. Thanks to the integration of the proven Basler pylon Camera Software Suite into the drag & bot software, it is now possible to intuitively operate Basler 2D cameras in robot applications. A second result of the cooperation is an improved driver for Basler 2D cameras for the open source framework ROS.

The Basler pylon Camera Software Suite for Linux has now been embedded in the drag & bot software. The integration of the Software Suite makes it possible to install and calibrate Basler 2D cameras with just a few mouse clicks in the drag & bot software. Users benefit from the proven driver stability and the simple camera configuration of the pylon software. The camera is then ready for use and image processing functions, in particular for parts localization, can be used in robotic applications via the graphical user interface of drag & bot.
