Agile Robots takes over Thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering

The specialist for AI-supported robotics solutions has acquired the assets of Thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering, which previously belonged to the Automotive Technology segment of Thyssenkrupp AG

This acquisition strengthens Agile Robots' market position in the field of smart automation solutions and opens up new growth areas. thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering was chosen due to its technological expertise and many years of experience in the automotive industry. Agile Robots, founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the German Aerospace Center, is expanding its team by 650 experts and 10 new locations in Europe and North America.

With a turnover of 200 million euros in 2024, the company plans to further expand its market presence. The acquisition enables Agile Robots to enter new market segments and optimize production through an integrated portfolio of robotics hardware, software and data.
