Awarded for Continued Growth

Stemmer Imaging, Europe’s largest supplier of imaging and machine vision technology, increased its total turnover by nearly 10 percent to 83.7 million euros in the financial year which ended on the 30 June 2016. The company has been honoured with the "Bavaria's Best 50" award for the second time since 2013.

The German headquarters contributed the largest share of the company’s total turnover with 47.9 million euros, which tops its previous year’s result by 11.6 percent. The highest percentage of growth has been achieved by the subsidiaries in Denmark, Poland, the Netherlands and Sweden.

„With the result of 83.7 million euros we have surpassed the 80 million euros fiscal turnover and even exceeded our target“, explains Christof Zollitsch, Managing Director at Stemmer Imaging. “Britain‘s recent voting for „Brexit“ will certainly affect the new financial year which started on the 1st of July”, continues Zollitsch, who believes in the company’s excellent market position.

„Another great example for the added value we offer our clients is the Stemmer Imaging Machine Vision Technology Forum which attracted over 1,000 participants in last year’s event series“, Zollitsch continues. „Together with our comprehensive training program on all aspects of imaging and machine vision organised by the European Imaging Academy we were able to significantly improve the vision know-how of more than 1,500 participants over the past year. With these and many other services we create a real added value for our customers helping them realise their imaging tasks in a timely and efficient manner“, Zollitsch emphasises.

The success of this concept is not only reflected in the excellent financial result: On the 18th of July 2016 Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs, Media, Energy and Technology, llse Aigner, honoured the company with the "Bavaria's Best 50" award for the second time since 2013. Once again, Stemmer Imaging is one of 50 high-growth, owner-managed medium-sized companies in Bavaria. A long-term fiscal policy, a solid corporate financing and a supportive personnel policy are the essential criteria for obtaining this award for which companies located in the Free State of Bavaria can apply every 3 years.
