AVT Asia Starts Operations

08.07.2010 -

Newly founded AVT subsidiary Allied Vision Technologies Asia Pte. Ltd. started operations on July 1, 2010. The company was incorporated in Singapore in February of this year and is now able to take over the sales and support activities of the camera manufacturer in the Asia-Pacific region.

New Staff Run New Singapore Office
Since its incorporation, AVT Asia has now moved into large office spaces in downtown Singapore and set up the necessary infrastructure. Staff hiring has also taken place to support Boon-Keng Teng, Asia Pacific Sales Manager.

Starting July 1, 2010, Thomas Lin Xiaochun will provide technical support as a Field Application Engineer to customers and distributors of the region. Kristin Liu Liyu is appointed as Office Manager and will handle the subsidiary's sales administration and logistics.

"With this core team and the Singapore office, we will be able to offer local support to our Asian customers", said Boon-Teng Keng. "After a transition phase necessary to train the new staff and take over the Asia-Pacific accounts from AVT GmbH of Germany, we expect to be fully operational by the end of the year at the latest".

High Ambitions for Asia-Pacific
Frank Grube, President & CEO of Allied Vision Technologies GmbH, is also satisfied with the progress of the project: "We are perfectly on track and I am looking forward to see AVT Asia up and running", he commented. "Allied Vision Technologies has high ambitions in the Asia-Pacific region and this requires a high level of local service to our customers. Our Singapore office space is already dimensioned to accommodate twice as much staff as today if necessary".
