Attosys, headquartered in Erlangen, focuses on applications in micro- and macro-machining, particularly for glass and challenging material combinations.

Its range of services includes laser welding, laser structuring, laser cutting, and laser drilling. A key focus is on hermetic joining processes for glass components, as well as the joining of different materials, such as glass with metal or silicon. Target industries include medical technology, microsystems technology, and the semiconductor industry.

Attosys also offers solutions for processing plastics as well as for cutting and structuring glass, metal, and ceramics. These processes enable precise cuts with low heat input and microstructuring with high accuracy. Among other technologies, ultrashort-pulse lasers are used—often in combination—to implement processes tailored to specific materials and geometries. The processes aim to achieve hermetic joints with high seam strength and reduced thermal stresses.
