ams Osram extends contract with CFO
The Supervisory Board has extended the contract with CFO Rainer Irle until October 15, 2030.
His previous contract would have expired on June 30, 2026. Dr. Margarete Haase, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of ams Osram, praised Irle's decisive contribution to strengthening the company's financial base over the past two years. Irle himself thanked the ams Osram team for their trust and support. He highlighted the successful refinancing and the "Re-establish the Base" efficiency program and emphasized the ambitious goals for the coming years.
Irle has been CFO of ams Osram since July 2023 and brings extensive experience from the semiconductor industry, including as CFO of Siltronic AG. He began his career at A.T. Kearney and Deutsche Bank and holds degrees in engineering and industrial engineering.
Furthermore, ams Osram has expanded its long-standing intellectual property (IP) collaboration with Nichia. Aldo Kamper, CEO of ams-OSRAM AG, and Hiroyoshi Ogawa, President and CEO of Nichia Corporation, signed a comprehensive cross-licensing agreement covering thousands of patented innovations in LED and laser technology.
