AMA Innovation Award 2027: Application Period for Sensor and Measurement Technology Has Begun
The prize is worth 10,000 euros, and the application deadline is January 27, 2027. Start-ups can also win a free booth at the Sensor+Test trade show.
The AMA Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology has opened the application period for the 2027 AMA Innovation Award. Scientists and development teams from industry and research can submit their projects until January 27, 2027. The award, which has been presented for 27 years, comes with a prize of 10,000 euros. According to the association, entries will be evaluated based on their scientific quality, degree of innovation, and market prospects. Both individuals and development teams may apply, regardless of their affiliation with a company or research institution.
In addition, the AMA awards the “Young Company” special prize. Eligible companies must have been in business for no more than five years, employ fewer than 50 people, and have an annual revenue of no more than 10 million euros. The winning team will receive a free exhibition booth at Sensor+Test 2027 in Nuremberg.
The nominations for the Innovation Award and the winner of the Special Award will be announced on March 2, 2027, at the AMA press conference. The Innovation Award ceremony will take place during the opening ceremony of Sensor+Test. All nominated teams will also have the opportunity there to present their developments to an audience of industry professionals. The AMA is thus specifically focusing the competition on sensor and measurement technology solutions that demonstrate not only technical innovation but also concrete market prospects.
