All About Automation Chemnitz Continues to Grow: Focus on AI, Robotics, and Digitalization
The All About Automation trade show in Chemnitz saw growth once again in 2026. AI, robotics, and safe automation were the main topics of discussion at the sold-out trade show.
The All About Automation trade show in Chemnitz has further solidified its position as a key regional platform for industrial automation, robotics, and digitalization in Saxony and Central Germany. With 2,985 trade visitors, the 2026 event saw a 10 percent increase compared to the previous year. The number of exhibitors also rose to 253 companies, meaning the exhibition grounds were once again fully booked.
The two-day event focused on specific automation projects, technical challenges, and direct dialogue between suppliers and users. Rather than purely product-based presentations, the event was dominated by practical discussions about solutions for current challenges in production and manufacturing.
A central theme was artificial intelligence. In the well-attended Talk Lounge, participants discussed how AI can be integrated into industrial applications in a economically viable way. A robotics focus organized by Robotics Saxony was also very well received. Presentations on cybersecurity, safe automation, and regulatory requirements in mechanical and plant engineering were equally in high demand.
Numerous regional stakeholders once again contributed to the trade show’s success. Together with Robotics Saxony, the Saxony Economic Development Agency, and VEMASinnovativ, they organized expert tours, networking events, and programs for young talent. In particular, the guided tours for school students were designed to spark interest in technical careers and future-oriented industrial topics.
The fair’s development reflects the industry’s growing need to boost productivity and competitiveness through automation, robotics, and digitalization. The next All About Automation Chemnitz will take place on September 15 and 16, 2027, and is set to further expand its role as a central networking platform for the industrial region.
