Aldo Kamper Will Remain CEO of AMS Osram Through 2031
AMS Osram has extended CEO Aldo Kamper's contract early, through the end of September 2031. His previous term was set to expire at the end of March 2027. Kamper has been leading the company since April 2023.

Under the leadership of Aldo Kamper, the company launched the “Re-establish the Base” efficiency program. According to the company, the goal was to streamline the portfolio and strengthen profitability. In addition, corporate structures were streamlined, business units were realigned, and measures were implemented to strengthen the financial base and reduce debt.
On July 1, 2026, AMS Osram completed the sale of its non-optical sensor business. The company intends to focus more strongly on its core optical business and areas of digital photonics, including augmented reality and data communication.
Kamper began his career in 1994 at Osram in Regensburg. He subsequently held various leadership positions in Europe and the U.S., including in the LED and specialty lighting sectors. In 2010, he became CEO of the Opto Semiconductors business unit. Before joining AMS Osram, he was CEO of Leoni.
