Advantech expands Edge AI ecosystem with DEEPX partnership
According to Joey Hsu, Director at Advantech, the partnership aims to develop energy-efficient AI solutions for next-generation edge systems

Advantech has announced a partnership with DEEPX, an NPU technology specialist from Korea. This collaboration expands Advantech's AI chipset ecosystem and introduces the first AI acceleration solution with DEEPX technology: the EAI-1961 edge AI acceleration module. According to Joey Hsu, Director at Advantech, the partnership aims to develop energy-efficient AI solutions for next-generation edge systems. The EAI-1961 module, equipped with DEEPX's DX-M1 NPU, provides up to 25 TOPS of AI inference performance and supports 4GB of LPDDR5 memory. It is suitable for applications such as robotics and intelligent surveillance.
Lokwon Kim, CEO of DEEPX, emphasizes the strategic importance of the partnership to establish NPU technology globally. With DEEPX, Advantech is expanding its partner network, which already includes Intel, Qualcomm and NVIDIA. The integration of these technologies should enable customers to efficiently implement scalable edge AI applications.
