A3 Launches New Website

The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) has launched a new website. This blog-based website will tell the real story about companies that are successful because of automation, and how automation makes a positive impact on society. "The automation industry is helping to create an abundance of higher-quality, higher-paying jobs every day," said Jeff Burnstein, President of A3, a trade group representing over 750 companies from 32 countries involved in robotics, vision, and motion control technologies. "Media - as well as the general public - often have the age-old misperception that automation hinders job creation when in reality the exact opposite is true, and our new website will be used to dispel this myth."

The website will feature blog posts that cover automation strategies and success stories of businesses that are successfully competing in today's global marketplace. The website is also the place to view A3's new "Why I Automate" video series. The first video is of Marlin Steel in Baltimore, Maryland. CEO/Owner Drew Greenblatt tells the story about how a bagel basket maker, who when faced with the prospect of going out of business instead transformed his business by investing in automation. This gave Marlin Steel the ability to produce innovative products into markets that would have not been possible before. Visit www.a3automate.org to see the rest of the story.

"We want to inform the general public that they should embrace automation, not fear it," added Burnstein. "We also hope that business leaders who do not currently automate will see the benefits of automating and choose to investigate automation opportunities at their companies."
